HORROR IN CAPITAL: 23-YEAR-OLD PARAMEDIC STUDENT GANG-RAPED IN MOVING BUS
Unregistered Bus with Tinted Glasses Passed Multiple Police PCR Vans Without Check
On the cold night of 16 December 2012, a 23-year-old physiotherapy student and her male friend were assaulted, stripped, and the young woman brutally gang-raped inside a private bus with tinted glasses for over two hours as it drove through the heart of Delhi.
The bus had no permit, had already been impounded previously for violations, and passed through at least 3 police checkpoints and PCR vans unhindered.
The tragedy exposed the total collapse of street-level policing in the national capital and shook the conscience of the nation.
