Coordinated RDX Blasts Target Bar Associations & Lawyers; HuJI Claims Retaliation
On the afternoon of 23 November 2007, six coordinated RDX cycle bombs detonated inside the premises of District Courts in Lucknow, Varanasi, and Faizabad within a 25-minute window.
16 people, including four lawyers preparing legal briefs, were killed and over 80 injured. The terror group HuJI claimed responsibility, stating the courts were targeted because local bar associations had refused to defend Pakistani terror accused.
The blasts demonstrated total failure of perimeter access control inside sensitive judicial complexes.
