On 27 September 2013, Rahul Gandhi barged into a press conference being addressed by Congress minister Ajay Maken at the Press Club of India in New Delhi.

In a dramatic display, he publicly rubbished his own government's executive ordinance — which was passed by the Union Cabinet to shield convicted lawmakers like Lalu Prasad Yadav from immediate disqualification.
